About the INTSR

The International Policy and Research Network on Territories of Social Responsibility (INTSR) is an international cooperation network for knowledges on economies and cultures of social responsibility, development and equity.

Its inception started in an international workshop hosted by the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, in the Hague (Netherlands), ocurred in january 2011, as part of the workplan of the 2009-2011 nomination period of Prof Patricia Almeida Ashley (Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil) for the Prince Claus Chair in Development and Equity.

In 2011 and 2012, a first step for the design of the INTSR was the edition of a book which opens an agenda on a multiactor, multilevel and multiterritorial perspective on social responsibility studies and development cooperation policies.  The book Territories of social responsibility: opening the research and policy agenda, edited by Patricia Almeida Ashley (Brazil) and David Crowther (UK), with contributions of authors from Brazil, Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Malasia and China, was launched in November 2012, by Gower Publishing Ltd, UK.

Note: The INTSR website has some data for restricted access only to members affiliated to the INTSR, related mostly to working material for research and policy proposals still in development.
